PS/IS 288’s middle school girls eagle program made it all the way to the city championship this year.

Career Day activities at P.S. 225,  included NYPD police officers from the 60th precinct playing a basketball game against students and staff members from P.S. 225 on February 15, 2018.  A good time was had by all and the police officers really “laid down the law” in a 71 to 68 overtime victory!  Thanks to AP Ms. Jo-Ann Trani for organizing this event.

PS/IS 288 is coming home with three National Champions (two with All-American Honors), a team of scholar-athletes that all ran their personal best times and a wonderful group of proud parents. Great things continue to happen at PS/IS 288.
PS/IS 288 competed in USATF NY Cross Country Junior Olympic Championships. 10 of their 14 athletes who competed qualified for Regional Championships in Rhode Island. All of their athletes ran exceptionally well. A proud moment for 288.
Congratulation to David A. Boody’s wrestling team for taking 1st place.
Congratulations to  “288 Eagles Steppers” and their coaches for taking third place in the Stomp the Violence showcase.
